What Am I Doin Here?

Here are some frequently asked questions about this blog, myself and the crazy things I say.

1)  Wtf is this place?

Crazy MLM is a haven for MLM misfits, the ones who are burnt out, tired, disgusted and just want to do things entirely different (online).  Selling to friends and family will getcha thrown off the flight.  So will talking about yer comp plan. Capiche? Good, Start here.

2)  And I’m here because?

Good ol’ Google, probably.  Ohhh, or karma.  Kidding.  Probably Google.

3)  Why’s it called Crazy MLM?

Cause I’m crazay! Joking, well maybe.  Anyhoo, back a few years ago I joined up with a network marketing company and wanted to test if I could do it without all the ‘normal’ things mlm’ers do.  No pounding the pavement, uncomfortable home parties, 3 way calls or trading dignity for dollars.  I built this blog to show network marketers a faster, sexier approach I suppose.  And that’s lead generation.  To target people who are looking for something, to those who actually raise their hand.  I think it’s absolutely Crazy (hence the name of the blog) that network marketers are still doing the same annoying stuff like hounding friends and family, and spamming their facebook wall…

Also…

I’m here to kill cliche’s, have fun, entertain and hopefully, help you wake up a tad happier each day.

4)  What can I expect If I hang around?

Hilarious posts mostly.  Tailored to network marketers of course, with a huge emphasis on kickin the kool-aid drinking habit that plagues them.  I’ll also go into a lot more cool stuff about copywriting, cause that’s what is going to help you sell your stuff and put more money in your hot little pockets.

5)  What’s this kool-aid you speak of?

I’ll let wikipedia give you the explanation:

“Drinking the Kool-Aid” is a figure of speech commonly used in the United States that refers to a person or group holding an unquestioned belief, argument, or philosophy without critical examination.  It could also refer to knowingly going along with a doomed or dangerous idea because of peer pressure.  The phrase typically carries a negative connotation when applied to an individual or group.

A reference to the 1978 cult mass-suicide in Jonestown, Guyana. Jim Jones, the leader of the group, convinced his followers to move to Jonestown. Late in the year he then ordered his flock to commit suicide by drinking grape-flavored Kool-Aid laced with potassium cyanide.

I honestly can’t think of a more fitting way to describe 90% of network marketers.  No wonder people think they are crazy (and annoying).  Hence the name of my blog.

6)  Where are you from?

Oh, a place you’ve probably never even heard of, or can even pronounce properly.  It’s a city called Nanaimo (say it with me, Nuh-Nai-Mo).  Excellent work Skully!  To make it simple, this city in on Vancouver Island, BC.

7)  What’s some good advice you can give me?

For network marketers specifically, it’s this:  stop chasing the money.  Ya know, messaging people you haven’t talked to in years because you want em in yer downline.  Comes across as desperate and insincere.  I’ll add this:  Find a mentor you admire and follow what they do, that is the only real shortcut that exists.

8)  What now?

If you haven’t already,  join my list and download my cheat sheet on how to write sexy sales copy so you can sell your products and services.  You’ll love it, it’s short and sweet and packs a mean punch, Mike.

9)  Can I stalk you anywhere else?

You can find me on Facebook, I like to hang out there, but not all day you know, I have new twins that take up a tad bit of my time.  But this place is good too, so keep it locked down here on Crazy MLM,  your rehab center for mlm junkies.
